Preparing for the trip, my prayer has been that I wouldn't let my fears and insecurities hold me back as they have so many times in the past. I want to glean all I can and grow so much stronger in my faith, but so often my fears have inhibited that, as I feel it has for many of us. Satan knows just how to use them in his attempt to destroy us. Our insecurities eat away at our faith, our relationships, and our lives as a whole. Only God can give us the strength and confidence we need to conquer them, so as I prayed, I prayed for an abundance of both :) And I will need to pray that prayer every morning as we go out to share His love.
I'm excited to see how my life will be changed there and how it will translate into my life here. I will most definitely share my experience with you, as community and relationship is crucial to our faith, and my insecurities in that area can no longer hold me back. :)

Gods grace is something we will never in this lifetime completely understand, but as we consider what we do know about His love that we call grace we begin to understand that to have real change in our lives and to put away our fears and insecurities we must come to know the real God who created us and not the god we think He is or who we think we want Him to be. God is for us and is our biggest fan and cheerleader. For He wants more for us than we want for ourselves. We stay stuck in the same ruts and continue in the same twisted mindset that brings only temporary (at best) pleasure and confirmation that we are doing life as God meant it to be. I am so thankful that you are looking to our creator for the answers to what plagues us all and only a few will find the real answers that will bring joy and contentment in this life. God will most likely speak to you in some way you would not think about. That's why He is God and not us. Your faith is growing stronger and stronger and is a sweet aroma that rises to the heavens.Mom and I are praying for you and love you and we look forward to your safe return.
